★ Why Trust Us With Emissions

Tier 4 Done Right

Tier 4 emissions systems are not the place for guesswork or aftermarket "tunes." Our techs diagnose with factory tools, clean DPFs properly, and fix root causes — not symptoms.

Factory Diagnostic Software

Bobcat ServiceAnalyzer, DEVELON DDT, and Kubota Diagnostic Assistant read live emissions data — DPF soot load, DEF dosing, NOx sensor values — not just generic OBD codes.

DPF Thermal Cleaning

We thermally clean DPFs in a controlled oven to remove accumulated ash — restoring filter capacity rather than just running another regen that won't last.

Root-Cause Diagnosis

Repeated regens are usually a symptom — bad injector, EGR cooler leak, low duty cycle. We find why your DPF keeps loading instead of just cleaning it again.

EPA-Compliant Repair

We don't delete or bypass emissions equipment — it's illegal under EPA rules and kills resale value. We restore the system to factory function.

Component-Level Repair

DPF replacement, DEF tank cleaning, DEF pump replacement, SCR catalyst service, NOx and DPF pressure sensor replacement, EGR cooler repair.

Mobile DPF Service

Many DPF and emissions repairs can be done at your jobsite. We dispatch with diagnostic tools, parts, and forced regen capability.

⚠ DPF Warning Signs

Common Tier 4 Symptoms

Recognize any of these on your Bobcat, DEVELON, or Kubota? You're not alone — these are the most common Tier 4 emissions issues we resolve every week.

Repeated Active Regens

Machine regens way more often than it used to, sometimes during work. Usually means root cause upstream (injector, EGR, low duty cycle).

Failed Forced Regen

Manual regen procedure won't complete or aborts with error. DPF may be loaded with ash, not soot, and needs thermal cleaning.

Engine Derate / Limp Mode

Loss of power, ECM has reduced output to protect emissions system. Don't keep running it — get codes read fast.

DPF Soot Load High

Differential pressure across DPF too high. Sensor problem, ash-loaded filter, or upstream issue creating excess soot.

DEF Quality Fault

System detects bad or contaminated DEF, or refractometer test fails. Often contaminated DEF tank or water in DEF.

DEF Crystallization

Visible white crystals around DEF lines, tank, or injector. Cleaning needed and source of the problem identified.

NOx Sensor Faults

Upstream or downstream NOx sensor codes. Sensors are wear items on Tier 4 systems — eventual replacement is expected.

EGR Cooler Failure

Coolant loss with no external leak, white smoke at idle, EGR temperature faults. Common Tier 4 failure mode.

Excessive Black Smoke

Heavy soot output overwhelms DPF. Indicates injection problem, EGR fault, or boost issue — DPF cleaning alone won't fix it.

High DEF Consumption

Burning through DEF faster than it used to. Could be injector, dosing system, or upstream NOx problem driving over-dosing.

⚡ How It Works

Our DPF / Emissions Process

Diagnose root cause first. Clean or replace as needed. Verify the fix with live data before the machine goes back to work.

1

Diagnostic Scan

OEM software pulls fault codes, live emissions data, soot load, DEF dosing, NOx sensor readings.

2

Root-Cause Analysis

Identify why the system is faulting — injector, EGR cooler, DEF quality, low duty cycle, or ash-loaded DPF.

3

Clean / Repair / Replace

DPF thermal cleaning, DEF service, sensor replacement, EGR cooler swap, controller updates — or upstream root-cause repair.

4

Forced Regen & Verify

Complete a successful forced regen, clear codes, verify live data is in range, document for warranty.

Find a Location 1-888-380-6420
How much does DPF cleaning or replacement cost?
Thermal DPF cleaning typically runs $500-$1,500 depending on filter size and condition. DPF replacement with an OEM unit can run $3,000-$8,000+ depending on machine and brand. We always quote both options when feasible — cleaning is usually viable for ash-loaded DPFs that haven't failed.
Why does my machine keep doing active regens?
Repeated active regens almost always mean something upstream is making excess soot. Common causes: low operating duty cycle (lots of idle), worn injector, EGR cooler leak, turbo issue, intake leak, or worn engine internals. Cleaning the DPF without fixing the cause means you'll be back in a few hundred hours.
Can you delete my DPF or emissions system?
No. DPF and emissions deletes are illegal under EPA regulations, they void your warranty, they kill resale value, and they put your business at risk under EPA enforcement. We won't do them. We restore the system to factory function.
What's the difference between active and forced regen?
Active regen is the automatic process the machine runs during normal operation. Forced (or "parked") regen is a manual procedure run with factory diagnostic software when the system can't complete an active regen on its own. We have the OEM tools to do forced regen on Bobcat, DEVELON, and Kubota machines.
My DEF is crystallizing. What's going on?
Visible DEF crystals usually mean a leaking injector, line, or fitting, or a system that's been overheating. The crystals themselves clean up; the underlying leak needs repair. We diagnose the cause and replace the affected component, then clean and refill the system.
How long does DPF service take?
A forced regen takes about an hour. Diagnosing the root cause of a regen failure can take a few hours. Thermal DPF cleaning is typically a 2-3 day turnaround if we send out, or in-shop within a few days. DPF replacement turnaround depends on parts availability, typically 3-7 business days.
Will DPF service preserve my warranty?
Yes. As authorized dealers for Bobcat, DEVELON, and Kubota, our emissions work using OEM parts and factory procedures fully preserves warranty coverage. We're authorized to perform warranty emissions repair on your behalf.
Can you do DPF work on-site?
Yes for many services — diagnostic scans, forced regens, DEF system service, sensor replacement, EGR work. Full DPF thermal cleaning requires our oven, so the filter has to come to us. We can swap a DPF out at your jobsite for cleaning if downtime needs to be minimized.
How do I make my DPF last longer?
Three things help: (1) operate the machine at proper temperature — don't idle excessively; (2) keep up with engine PM so soot stays low; (3) use the right DEF (ISO 22241 / API-certified). When the active regen light comes on, let it complete instead of shutting down. Skipped regens are the #1 cause of premature DPF failure.

Derate, DPF Block, or DEF Fault?

Don't keep running it. Get the codes read with factory tools and the real problem fixed — not just the DPF cleaned for the third time.
