Develon Thumb

Secure Material Handling for Greater Versatility

The Develon Hydraulic Thumb transforms your excavator into a versatile material handling machine, making it easy to grab, lift, and position logs, rocks, demolition debris, brush, and other irregular materials. Designed for quick installation and reliable performance, the universal hydraulic clamp is available in multiple widths and lengths to match a variety of excavator models and applications.

Durable Design for Demanding Jobs

Built to withstand tough working conditions, the hydraulic thumb features a reinforced pivot area, oversized high-profile pivot pin, and heavy-duty hydraulic cylinder for exceptional strength and long-term durability. Constructed from abrasion-resistant AR400 steel, it delivers the toughness needed for daily use in construction, demolition, land clearing, and utility projects while resisting wear in high-stress applications.

Precise Control and Secure Grip

Hydraulic operation provides smooth, controlled thumb movement for accurate material placement and improved jobsite efficiency. A load-holding valve helps maintain a secure grip and reduces the risk of dropped materials, while the serrated clamp edge firmly grips objects against the bucket for confident handling of uneven or bulky loads. Installation is simplified with a weld-on base plate that eliminates the need to remove the excavator's main pin, allowing operators to get to work faster with minimal downtime.
