Develon DX225LL Log Loader
Designed for All-Day Forestry Jobs
Developed specifically for forestry applications, the DEVELON DX225LL-5 pairs the recognizable power of DEVELON with the specialized features required for forestry applications. It’s the industry’s only log loader to feature a pattern change valve, giving you the ability to pick the operating pattern that’s right for you.
It features a fully guarded, high-walker undercarriage and upper structure designed to hold up to all-day forestry jobs. Each track includes heavy-duty links with double grouser shoes, rock guards, and full-length track guiding guards. Heavy-duty top rollers include special clean-out brackets.
Robust Guarding with Visibility
Forestry protection extends to the upper structure. Machine guarding includes mainframe reinforcement with full under-house plate guarding, boom cylinder guard, integral catwalks, heavy-duty side doors with guarding over the hydraulic pump and cooling system doors, along with the undercarriage guarding. The cab features a 4 ft. riser with robust front and top guarding, which provides protection without sacrificing visibility. The cab also features hydraulic tilting for transport.
Work Comfortably
The optional side-entry forestry cab is certified for Oregon OSHA and British Columbia WCB standards. It features a guarded polycarbonate front window, polycarbonate side and rear windows and a rear secondary exit.
An intelligently designed cab makes it easy to focus on your work. You're surrounded by more foot space, better visibility, and automatic air conditioning with adjustable airflow. Work comfortably with the standard air suspension seat and simple controls.
Road Builder Features
If your operation requires road-building pioneering capabilities, the dedicated road builder machine configuration features log loader upper tracks and a traditional excavator boom and arm front configuration. It can be easily configured with a quick coupler, various buckets, and/or clamp to pioneer paths into your working site.
Power with Adaptability
An EPOS (Electronic Power Optimizing System) provides four work modes, auto-idle and machine diagnostics. It includes multiple operating modes, easy to read display monitor. To help save valuable diesel fuel, auto-shutdown comes standard. When enabled, it will shut down the machine’s engine when the preset idle time is met. Operators can configure the idle time from 3 to 60 minutes.
A standard color LCD display provides helpful maintenance history and monitoring information, including a fuel consumption gauge. It also displays video from the standard rear-view or optional side view camera, which are placed to give you improved visibility.
Increase machine uptime and productivity
Extended maintenance intervals and easy access to service points increase machine uptime and productivity. Examples include centralized grease points, wide side access doors for cleaning the cooling system, boom pivot bushings with extended greasing intervals, and a large-capacity engine air precleaner that removes more than 99 percent of airborne particles and extends filter cartridge service life.
