DD100 Features & Benefits

Grading & Blade Technology 7
6-Way Variable-Angle Pitch Blade

The DD100's 6-way power-tilt, variable-angle pitch (VAPP) dozer blade raises, lowers, angles, tilts and pitches — all from the seat — for high-precision grading from nearly any angle. Pitch adjustment lets operators dial the cutting edge in for everything from bulk pushing to fine finish work.

2D Blade Assist (Optional)

The optional 2D blade assist system automatically maintains blade angle and elevation against your grade targets, dramatically reducing the manual corrections an operator makes on every pass — so even less-experienced operators produce accurate, repeatable results.

3D Machine Control Ready

Step up to full 3D GPS machine control and the blade automatically moves to match your design file — cutting manual inputs by up to 80% and dramatically reducing rework on finish grading. The DD100 is engineered to accept 3D guidance hardware.

Blade Float

Blade float lets the blade follow ground contours under its own weight for clean back-dragging and smooth finish grading, reducing operator fatigue on long passes.

Blade Shake

The blade shake function rapidly oscillates the blade to knock off stuck-on clay, mud and debris — keeping the moldboard clean and material moving without stopping to clear it by hand.

Leading Blade Visibility

A narrow front hood and a rear-positioned hydraulic cooling system open up the operator's sightline to the blade and cutting edge, so you can place every pass with confidence and work more accurately.

XL & LGP Configurations

Choose the standard XL track setup for firm-ground pushing and production dozing, or the LGP (low ground pressure) configuration with wider tracks that reduce PSI on soft terrain — minimizing soil compaction, improving flotation and cutting down on site repairs.

Performance & Powertrain 5
Non-DPF Tier 4 Diesel Engine

The DD100's Tier 4-compliant diesel engine meets emissions standards without a diesel particulate filter (DPF) — eliminating regeneration cycles that interrupt the workday and removing long-term DPF maintenance cost. More uptime, simpler ownership.

ECO Mode

ECO mode trims engine speed and fuel burn while holding the performance you need for grading and dozing — lower fuel consumption and reduced emissions without slowing the job down.

Auto Idle & Auto Shutdown

Auto idle drops the engine to low idle when the controls are inactive, and auto shutdown stops the engine after a set idle period — saving fuel, cutting emissions and reducing non-productive engine hours. Both are customizable from the Smart Touch display.

Hydrostatic Drive

A hydrostatic transmission delivers smooth, steplessly variable tractive effort and precise speed control — ideal for matching ground speed to load when pushing material or fine grading.

Strong Drawbar Pull

Purpose-built undercarriage and powertrain give the DD100 the traction and drawbar pull to move serious material on residential, light-commercial and road-construction sites.

Comfort & Controls 5
Smart Touch Display

A Smart Touch in-cab display integrates machine functions, monitoring and settings in one easy-to-read screen — letting operators tailor ECO mode, auto idle, auto shutdown and grading functions to the job at hand.

Electrohydraulic Joystick Controls

Intuitive electrohydraulic controls and a modern joystick layout streamline every operation, putting blade, travel and machine functions at the operator's fingertips for smooth, low-effort control all day.

Spacious, Quiet Cab

A comfortable, low-vibration cab with clear all-around sightlines keeps operators productive across long shifts, with ergonomic controls and climate comfort built in.

Standard Rearview Camera

A standard rearview camera improves jobsite awareness and safety, giving the operator a clear view behind the machine when maneuvering and reversing.

Tilting Cab Access

The cab tilts to open up access to major drive and hydraulic components, making service faster and reducing the time the machine spends out of work.

Durability & Uptime 5
Exclusive Sealed-and-Lubricated Undercarriage

Sealed-and-lubricated track components with single- and dual-flange rollers deliver long wear life, durability and stability over rough terrain — the foundation of a dozer's productivity and resale value.

Standard Track Guards

Standard track guards shield the undercarriage from debris and help keep the tracks tracking true, improving uptime protection in demanding conditions.

Robust, Purpose-Built Frame

A heavy-duty frame and structures are built for the loads and impacts of production dozing, standing up to the toughest earthmoving, site-prep and road-construction work.

Rear-Positioned Cooling

Locating the hydraulic cooling system at the rear keeps it away from blade-side debris for cleaner, more efficient cooling — and clears the operator's forward view at the same time.

3-Year / 3,000-Hour Warranty

Every qualifying new Develon dozer is backed by a standard 3-year / 3,000-hour full-machine warranty — and serviced by Carleton Equipment's factory-trained technicians and genuine Develon parts at 7 Michigan locations.

Serviceability 3
Easy-Access Undercarriage

The undercarriage is designed for simple inspection and service — keeping tracks clean and maintained is fast, which protects one of the most expensive systems on the machine.

Tilting Cab for Major Service

When deeper service is needed, the tilting cab exposes drivetrain and hydraulic components for quicker access — less downtime, lower labor cost.

Grouped Service Points

Daily checks and greasing points are grouped for convenient access, helping operators keep up routine maintenance and maximize machine life.

A Leader in Visibility to the Blade

  • Visibility was a high priority in the design of DEVELON dozers.
  • The narrow design of the front nose hood makes it easier to see your work. The cooling system for the radiator/oil cooler module is hydraulically driven and located at the rear of the machine.
  • An in-line precleaner is placed under the hood to provide the operator with a more unobstructed view of the blade.
  • Front cab pillars are minimized to reduce obstructions, and all-glass doors result in more glass area for maximum visibility.
  • Standard features include a rearview camera, four high-illumination LED lights and four premium, smooth-glide wiper blades.
DEVELON DD100 sightline diagram: minimum visible distance to the ground is 8' 4" in front of the blade and 19' 8" total from the cab.
