CT1025 Key Features

What Makes the CT1025 Different

Clutch-Free Hydrostatic Drive

A 2-range hydrostatic transmission (HST) means no clutch and no gear-shifting — just press a pedal to go and ease off to stop. It's smooth, forgiving and easy to learn, making the CT1025 ideal for first-time operators and varied property work.

Standard Four-Wheel Drive

Standard 4WD puts power to all four wheels for confident traction on hills, soft ground, mud and snow — so the CT1025 keeps working where a two-wheel-drive machine would slip or stall.

Quick-Attach Front Loader

The compatible front loader lifts roughly 608 lbs to full height for material handling, grading, snow pushing and landscaping. Pair it with the machine's 7.2 gpm hydraulics to load, carry and place material all day.

Mid & Rear PTO Versatility

A 540-rpm rear PTO drives implements like tillers, post-hole augers and rotary cutters, while the 2,200-rpm mid PTO powers a belly mower for finish mowing. With 18.8 PTO HP on tap, the CT1025 runs the tools that get acreage work done.

Category 1 Three-Point Hitch

The Category 1 three-point hitch lifts up to 700 lbs measured 24 inches behind the lift point, and a Hydraulic Position Control System holds implements at a consistent working height for accurate, repeatable results.

Sub-Compact Maneuverability

At just 45.7 inches wide, 99.3 inches long and 1,521 lbs with an 8.4-foot turning radius, the CT1025 fits through standard gates, loads easily on a trailer and works in tight spaces with low ground disturbance.

Tier 4 Diesel — No DPF

The 24.5-gross-HP Bobcat 3-cylinder diesel meets Tier 4 emissions without a diesel particulate filter (DPF) in this class — no regeneration cycles to wait on — and delivers up to 11.1 mph travel speed for efficient work and quick repositioning.

Year-Round Attachment Ecosystem

Front loader, belly mower, backhoe and Category 1 implements make the CT1025 a true three-function machine — mow and landscape in summer, grade and handle material year-round, and clear snow in winter, all with one tractor.

CT1025

CT1025 Features & Benefits

Performance 8
Efficient Tier 4 Diesel Engine

The 3C100LFH-U1 three-cylinder, liquid-cooled diesel displaces 62 cubic inches and delivers 24.5 gross horsepower. Tier 4 emissions compliance keeps you clean and efficient, so you get dependable muscle for mowing, loader work and ground-engaging tasks all day long.

Strong PTO Output

With 18.8 PTO horsepower, the CT1025 has the power to drive a wide range of implements. The independent rear PTO turns at a standard 540 rpm while the mid-PTO runs at 2,200 rpm to power a belly mower — so you can switch from field work to mowing without missing a beat.

2-Range Hydrostatic Transmission

The clutch-free, twin-pedal 2-range hydrostatic transmission (HST) makes the CT1025 easy to operate for any skill level. Smooth, on-the-fly speed changes let you match your pace to the task while keeping both hands free to manage attachments and the loader.

Standard 4WD Traction

Standard four-wheel drive puts power to all four corners for confident traction in mud, snow, slopes and loose ground. You'll keep working in conditions that would stop a two-wheel-drive tractor.

Cruise Control

Standard cruise control lets you set and hold a steady travel speed for mowing, tilling and other repetitive passes. Maintain a consistent ground speed without constant pedal pressure, reducing fatigue on long jobs.

Quick Travel Speed

Move around the property fast with a top travel speed of 11.1 mph forward and 7.6 mph in reverse. Spend less time getting from one task to the next and more time getting work done.

Productive Hydraulic Flow

A total hydraulic flow of 7.2 gpm delivers responsive performance for the loader, three-point hitch and implements. There's enough flow on hand to lift, dig and run your attachments smoothly.

Power Steering

Standard power steering gives you light, effortless control for tight turns and precise maneuvering. Navigate around buildings, trees and obstacles with minimal effort, even with a loaded front loader.

Comfort 5
Deluxe Ergonomic Seat

Settle into a deluxe ergonomic seat designed to keep you comfortable through long hours in the field. Thoughtful support reduces fatigue so you stay productive from the first task to the last.

Tilt Steering Wheel

Adjust the tilt steering wheel to your preferred position for a natural, comfortable driving posture. Operators of any size can find the ideal fit and get in and out with ease.

Easy-Reach Controls

Intuitive, easy-reach controls put everything you need right at your fingertips. The clutch-free twin-pedal layout and well-placed levers make the CT1025 simple to operate, even for first-time tractor users.

Open Foldable ROPS

The open operator station features a foldable ROPS that protects you on the job, then folds down for storage in low-clearance buildings or for transport. You get rollover protection without sacrificing flexibility.

Compact, Maneuverable Footprint

At just 45.7 inches wide with an 8.4-foot turning radius, the CT1025 slips through gates, between buildings and around tight landscaping with ease. Its small footprint makes it ideal for acreages, orchards and confined work areas.

Versatility 5
Category 1 Three-Point Hitch

The Category 1 three-point hitch lifts 700 lbs at 24 inches behind the lift point and accepts the wide range of Cat 1 implements on the market. From box blades to rotary cutters, you can put the right tool behind the tractor for nearly any job.

Hydraulic Position Control System

The Hydraulic Position Control System lets you set and repeat implement height precisely. Match your working depth pass after pass for consistent results when tilling, grading or cultivating.

Front Loader Option

Add the optional front loader for roughly 608 lbs of lift at maximum height. Move dirt, mulch, gravel and pallets, then switch back to other tasks — turning the CT1025 into a true do-it-all machine for your property.

Belly Mower Compatible

The 2,200 rpm mid-PTO drives a belly mower for clean, efficient cutting. Keep large lawns, pastures and trails trimmed without giving up the tractor's loader or three-point capabilities.

Backhoe Compatible

Pair the CT1025 with a compatible backhoe to dig footings, trenches and holes. One tractor handles loading, mowing and excavating, so you get more done with a single machine and fewer pieces of equipment.

Serviceability 3
Tilt-Up Hood

The tilt-up hood swings open for wide, unobstructed access to the engine compartment. Routine checks and service take only moments, helping you spend less time on maintenance and more time working.

Easy Daily-Check Access

Daily fluid checks and inspection points are grouped for quick, easy access. A fast walk-around keeps your tractor in top condition and helps you catch small issues before they become downtime.

Automotive-Style Cooling

The automotive-style cooling system keeps the engine running at the right temperature under load. Reliable cooling protects critical components and supports long, trouble-free service life.

Durability 4
Heavy Cast Front Axle

A heavy cast front axle stands up to the stresses of loader work and rough ground. This rugged foundation supports front-end loads and helps the CT1025 deliver years of dependable service.

Robust Frame

A robust frame ties the whole machine together for strength and stability when lifting, digging and traveling over uneven terrain. You get a solid, confidence-inspiring tractor built to work hard.

Durable Tires for Every Surface

Front 18x8.5-10 and rear 26x12-12 tires provide a stable, capable footprint, with industrial, turf and agricultural options available. Choose the tread that matches your ground for the right balance of traction and surface protection.

Bobcat Dealer Support & Warranty

Tractor Buyer's Guide

Frequently Asked Questions

New to tractors? Here are the answers buyers ask us most — in plain language.

What is a sub-compact tractor?

Sub-compact tractors are agile, adaptable machines used for lawn and garden, light agriculture, snow removal and landscaping work. Small enough to maneuver tight jobs, they work inside and around sheds, barns and animal enclosures.

Popular for both personal and professional use, sub-compact tractors still have enough power to take on heavy-duty jobs — which is why they've become ideal equipment for hobby farms. Many include operator-friendly controls that make them perfect for beginner operators.

Attachments add year-round versatility. Front-end loaders are the most popular, letting you haul, scoop, grade and more, while options like mid-mount mowers, box blades and backhoes maintain lawns, backfill driveways and dig ditches.

Bobcat's 1000 platform offers two sub-compact models — the CT1021 and CT1025 — each with a convenient 46-inch width, Limited Category 1 three-point hitch and an easy-to-learn hydrostatic transmission.

Are sub-compact tractors easy to operate?

Whether you're an expert operator or it's your first time on a piece of equipment, Bobcat sub-compact tractors are designed for simplicity.

  • Operator-friendly controls make it easy for users of all skill levels to get the job done.
  • Hydrostatic models use simple twin-pedal travel control: one pedal moves you forward, the other in reverse — no clutch, no gear shifting.
  • Operator stations and cabs are loaded with comfort features that help every operator feel at ease in the seat.
How much does a sub-compact tractor weigh?

Sub-compact tractors, like the Bobcat CT1021 and CT1025, have operating weights around 1,500 pounds.

Compact tractors range between roughly 2,000 and 4,000 pounds depending on the model, and articulating tractors weigh in around 1,850 pounds.

What attachments do I need for a sub-compact tractor?

Bobcat offers a wide variety of sub-compact tractor attachments and implements — with a handful of the right tools you can adapt your machine to all kinds of jobs.

A front-end loader is a must-have for many owners:

  • Take on digging, dirt moving, loading and carrying material.
  • The included quick-tach system lets you hook up a wide selection of front-mounted attachments.

When you purchase a Bobcat compact tractor, you can get a free front-end loader* in lieu of financing — see our current offer for details.

*Limited-time offer. Financing and the free front-end loader are mutually exclusive. See dealer for complete details and eligibility.

What size tractor do I need?

It comes down to your acreage and the jobs you have in mind. Sub-compact tractors — the Bobcat 1000 platform, like the CT1021 and CT1025 — are sized for properties up to a few acres: mowing, light loader work, snow removal and everyday chores around the house, barn or hobby farm.

As your acreage grows or the jobs get heavier (bigger implements, more lifting, faster road speeds), you step up to the compact 2000–5000 platforms, and finally the utility 6000 platform for large-acreage, ground-engaging work. Use the platform comparison chart above to match horsepower, lift capacity and travel speed to your property — and when in doubt, our team can size the right machine for your land.

Do I need 4WD?

For most owners, yes — and every Bobcat sub-compact tractor comes with four-wheel drive (4x4) standard. Powering all four wheels gives you the traction to climb hills, push through mud and snow, and dig or push with the loader without spinning out.

It also keeps you working in conditions that would leave a two-wheel-drive machine stuck. On a sub-compact you'll appreciate it most during loader work and winter snow removal.

What's a PTO and what does it do?

PTO stands for “power take-off” — a spinning shaft that sends the engine's power straight to an attachment so the implement can do its work, whether that's cutting, tilling or blowing snow.

Sub-compact tractors like the CT1025 have two. The rear PTO (540 rpm) drives three-point implements such as rotary cutters, tillers, post-hole augers and snow blowers, while the mid PTO (2,200 rpm) powers a belly-mounted mid-mount mower for finish mowing. The CT1025's independent PTO puts about 18.8 PTO horsepower to those tools.

What's a 3-point hitch (and what's Category 1)?

The three-point hitch is the three-armed linkage at the back of the tractor that attaches, lifts and lowers rear implements — box blades, rotary cutters, tillers, land graders, snow blowers and more — hydraulically as you work.

“Category 1” refers to the hitch's standardized size and pin dimensions, which is the norm for sub-compact and compact tractors, so it accepts the huge range of Cat 1 implements on the market. The CT1025 uses a Limited Category 1 hitch with a Hydraulic Position Control System that holds your implement at a consistent height, and it lifts up to 700 lbs measured 24 inches behind the lift point.

How much can a sub-compact tractor lift and tow?

On the Bobcat CT1025, the front-end loader lifts about 608 lbs to full height for scooping, carrying and loading material, while the rear three-point hitch lifts up to 700 lbs (24 inches behind the lift point) to raise and run ground-engaging implements.

Towing depends on your drawbar setup, the terrain and the load — sub-compacts comfortably pull utility carts, small trailers, yard rollers and similar loads. For a specific towing figure or a heavier job, talk to our team and we'll match the machine and setup to what you're pulling.
