★ Why It Matters

Cab Comfort = Productivity

An overheated operator works slower, makes more mistakes, and stops sooner. Working A/C isn't a luxury — it's an operator-retention and productivity tool that pays for itself in a hot summer or freezing winter.

EPA 609 Certified

Federal law requires EPA Section 609 certification to service motor vehicle A/C systems. Our techs are certified and our shops have proper recovery and recycling equipment.

R-134a & R-1234yf

We service both common refrigerants — older systems on R-134a and newer Tier 4 era machines on R-1234yf, which uses entirely different equipment and procedures.

Leak Detection

Electronic refrigerant sniffers, UV dye, and pressure testing — we find the leak before recharging, because "topping off" without finding the leak just leaks again in a month.

Proper Recovery & Vacuum

Refrigerant recovered by certified machine (never vented), system held under vacuum to remove moisture, then charged by weight to OEM spec. Not just a can of stop-leak in the low-side port.

Full Component Replacement

Compressor, condenser, evaporator, expansion valve, receiver/drier, hoses, fittings — we replace what's actually failed, not what's cheapest.

Heater & HVAC Too

Heater cores, blower motors, HVAC controls, vent doors, cabin filters — full HVAC service for year-round cab comfort.

⚠ Common A/C & HVAC Problems

Cab Symptoms We Fix

If any of these sound like your machine, the fix is usually straightforward once we diagnose the cause — not the symptom.

Not Cold / Weak Cold

System running but cab won't get cold. Low refrigerant, weak compressor, restricted expansion valve, or condenser airflow problem.

No Cold At All

Compressor not engaging, completely empty refrigerant, fuse, switch, or electrical problem preventing system operation.

Heater Not Working

No heat from vents, weak heat, or no defroster. Heater core, blend door, blower, or coolant flow problem.

Blower Won't Run / Weak

No air movement, only one speed, or weak airflow at all speeds. Blower motor, resistor, switch, or wiring.

Musty / Bad Smell

Mold or mildew smell from vents. Typically wet evaporator core needing cleaning, plus drain inspection.

Loud A/C Noise

Whining, squealing, or rattling from the compressor area. Bad compressor clutch bearing or internal compressor failure — catch it before it grenades.

Water in the Cab

Wet floor or carpet under the dash. Clogged A/C condensate drain, heater core leak, or windshield seal issue.

Frost on Evaporator / Lines

Ice forming on A/C lines or inside the cab. Low refrigerant, blower problem, restricted expansion valve, or thermostat failure.

Visible Oil / Refrigerant Leak

Oily residue around compressor, fittings, hoses, or condenser. Refrigerant carries oil — oil where it shouldn't be is the leak telling on itself.

Controls Don't Work

Temperature knob does nothing, fan speed stuck, mode selector broken. HVAC control panel or wiring fault.

⚡ How It Works

Our A/C Service Process

No band-aid recharges. We diagnose, fix the leak or fault, evacuate, then charge to OEM spec — so the cold lasts.

1

Performance Test

Pressure gauges, vent temperatures, electrical checks. We confirm exactly how the system is performing and what's wrong.

2

Leak & Fault Find

Electronic sniffer, UV dye, or pressure decay testing. If components are failing, we identify which.

3

Repair

Replace what's failed: compressor, condenser, evaporator, hose, fitting, or controls. Replace receiver / drier any time system is opened.

4

Evacuate & Recharge

Vacuum the system to remove moisture, then charge by weight to OEM spec with the correct refrigerant and oil.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about A/C recharge cost, R-134a vs. R-1234yf, leak repair, and seasonal inspection. Don't see your question? Give us a call.

Find a Location 1-888-380-6420
How much does an A/C recharge cost?
A diagnostic + recharge on an R-134a system typically runs a few hundred dollars depending on refrigerant capacity. R-1234yf systems cost more because the refrigerant itself is significantly more expensive. We always quote in writing — and we won't recharge a system with a known leak without fixing the leak first.
Why won't you just recharge my system?
Topping off without finding the leak is a waste of your money and a violation of EPA rules — releasing refrigerant is illegal. If your system has lost charge, something is leaking. We find and fix the leak first, then evacuate and recharge to OEM spec.
R-134a vs R-1234yf — which is in my machine?
Most older equipment uses R-134a. Newer Tier 4 era equipment is increasingly transitioning to R-1234yf (the EPA-mandated replacement). The system is labeled on a sticker near the compressor or in the cab. We service both with proper refrigerant-specific equipment.
How long does an A/C repair take?
A diagnostic and recharge with no major leak takes 1-2 hours. Compressor replacement is typically a full day. Evaporator replacement (often requires significant cab disassembly) can be a multi-day job. We'll quote the timeline with the estimate.
Can you do A/C work on-site?
Yes for recharge, diagnostics, leak detection, and many component replacements. Evaporator service usually has to come to the shop because of cab disassembly. We can do a recharge on most machines at your jobsite.
My heat doesn't work — same as A/C?
Same HVAC system, different components. No heat usually means heater core, blend door, coolant flow, or thermostat. We service the full HVAC system — heat and cold — including blower motors, controls, and ducting.
Do you recommend pre-season A/C inspection?
Yes — for fleet customers especially. Catching a marginal system in April before peak demand is much better than diagnosing it in 95° heat with operators quitting. We offer pre-season A/C inspections with performance and leak testing.
What if my compressor failed catastrophically?
When a compressor self-destructs internally, debris contaminates the entire system. Proper repair includes compressor replacement plus full system flush, new receiver/drier, new expansion valve or orifice tube, and sometimes new condenser. Skipping the flush typically destroys the new compressor within months.
Will my warranty be preserved?
Yes. As authorized dealers for Bobcat, DEVELON, and Kubota, A/C and HVAC work performed with OEM parts and factory procedures fully preserves warranty coverage. We're authorized to perform warranty cab comfort repair on your behalf.
