Why Fecon Skid Steer & Track Loader Mulchers
Carbide Tooling
Long-life carbide tools chew through hardwoods, knots, and stumps without backing off the throttle.
Variable-Speed Rotor
Variable-displacement motor maintains rotor tip speed under load for higher production and cleaner cuts.
Built for Production
Reinforced housing, AR steel skid plates, and replaceable wear parts engineered for daily commercial use.
Standard & High Flow
Models matched to 17-30 GPM standard-flow hosts up through 30-45 GPM high-flow CTLs and skid steers.

Frequently Asked Questions
Standard flow vs. high flow β which mulcher do I need?
Standard-flow Bull Hogs (RK5015, RK6015) run on hosts producing roughly 17-30 GPM at standard pressure
and are the right choice for most factory-spec skid steers. High-flow models (BH62SS, BH74SS, BH85SS,
BK6218, BK7618) require 30-45 GPM high-flow hydraulics β typically a high-flow track loader or a skid
steer ordered with the high-flow option. If you're not sure what your machine puts out, check the spec
plate or call us with your model number.
What size skid steer or track loader do I need to run a Fecon mulcher?
Match the cutter to the carrier's auxiliary hydraulic flow first, then weight and horsepower. A
50-inch RK5015 fits most 70-90 HP standard-flow skid steers, while a 72-inch BH85SS needs a high-flow
CTL in the 90+ HP class with adequate counterweight. We'll spec the right combo for your machine and
the material you're cutting.
Carbide tools vs. fixed knives β which rotor configuration is right?
Carbide tools last significantly longer and are the preferred choice for mixed material, dirty
conditions, and stumps. Fixed knives leave a finer finish and cut faster in clean, soft wood, but they
wear quickly when they hit dirt or rocks. Most production land-clearing customers run carbide; finish
mulching crews often choose knives.
